I highly recommend this playpen. I’ve been using it for about six weeks with my 10-month old, and it’s been great. I don’t usually write reviews, but playpens are really hard to choose, so I thought I’d share with images. What I like:- In a small space, you can configure best to fit your space. I have it in a corner, and until my LO figures out how to push it, I don’t even have it connected.- I like that you can customize your use of individual panels. Currently, I’m using only 7. I plan to bring 2-3 panels on our next road trip to set up a blockade instead of a “pen” if needed.- It seems very sturdy so far, and I think it looks nice in our home. It seems like it will be easy to clean if needed, but without a bottom makes it easier to move and vacuum.- I needed customer service, and they were very responsive and helpful.- I didn’t care about the accessories originally (the pit balls and the pull-up handles), but my LO loves them!Helpful for you to know:- It’s fairly easy to assemble, but you have to be careful to distinguish front and back before zipping on mesh (not clear in instructions). Still, only took about 30 mins.- Once you lock the panels in place (so that your LO can’t change the shape), it’s not very quick to unlock and collapse. With 8 panels, there are 9 mechanisms to unlock, and they require some hand strength (to be toddler proof). Then you can collapse it to 4 x 2 panels flat, still fully connected. If you want to fold it accordion-style with all 8 panels stacked, you need a stick (like a screwdriver) to disconnect one panel. It’s not difficult, but I wish it were easier. Regardless, I don’t collapse it often anyway, so it hasn’t been an issue.I hope this helps you to make your own playpen decision!I like the play yard. It has been AWESOME at keeping my daughter safe and entertained. I also like how easy it is to collapse and set up. I wish it were a little more strudy on carpet, but my daughter is still able to use the given handles to pull herself up safely. I had an issue with the netting having a tear in it, but I got ahold of the company and they are sending me replacement panels without any hassle. It was such a relief considering how expensive it was.If you have a large space and place it on a wood floor (for stability), this playpen should work for you. It turns out it was too small if we didn't use all sides and too big for our space, so it did not work for what I intended, which was to make a play area for my grandchildren. It works perfectly for my son, who set it up in a dining area that he converted to a play room. We have used it to block our dogs from certain areas when necessary, and anticipate it will be useful in the future. We purchased this playpen to give our 7 month old a safe area to roll around and play in. We are very satisfied with how big of an area he gets with this pen and how we can easily rearrange the shape of the pen as we’d like. The panels are sturdy, too, enough for our older children to put some weight on as they climb in and out of the pen to play with their little brother. (A note about the picture for anyone wondering about size reference or concerned about safety: My mom fell asleep next to my son. I was sitting on one of the couches to keep an eye on them. For size reference, my mom’s about 5 ft tall, and the dog is a 100 lb. German Shepherd. Also two of the panels are tucked away in the back so the space could be made bigger if we wanted it to be. )The instructions for breaking down this playpen are awful, and it took a few tries to figure out how to do it. However, I am SO glad we decided to get the foldable playpen vs standard! It is amazing and keeps my daughter safe. It is great quality and bigger than I had expected.very easy to fold up to put away when not using. we like it because it keeps our little one in and the dog out. He this for a few months now and keeps our 11mo from terrorizing the house for a bit. Well made.
