I'm new to inking and wanted a dark color that's an alternative to black and this works great! The sign pen gives me ultra thin lines when needed and thick ones as well. The only flaw is sometimes the ink doesn't flow as fast as I'd like but that might also depend on the tooth of the paper.I am learning brush lettering and these pens are one of my favorites. The tip is very firm so they are good for beginners trying to learn to control the pen movements. I definitely recommend these pens to anyone who would like to try brush lettering.I actually purchased this pack thinking it was ONE replacement pen for my set, and when I realized it was a discounted 12 pack I ordered two more so I had some to share. (Now, if they'd only discount a few of the other colors...)These are by far my favorite pen! The semi-soft brush tip is easily controlled. They're also fairly durable for beginners. I am still new enough I go through pens fairly frequently because I'm a lefty and I'm extra hard on them. These last much longer than any other pens in this same size category.These pens are by far the most consistent on the market and I've yet to get a bad batch/lot of them. Many of the small brush pens, especially from boutique/personal brands are inconsistent and I've NEVER had to worry about that with these Pentel brush pens.I rave about these pens for beginner calligraphers (especially lefties)! I love that they offer bulk in specific colors! Every time I have purchased them over the years I get the same high quality beginner friendly marker/pen that keeps me coming back!Great pen for impressive looking signaturesDislike
